Introduction to Bulletin Online

The Bulletin Online (BOS) portal provides a single point of entry to the Bulletin range of wireless products and services. It is through BOS that you will login when you want to subscribe to and access your services. You will make any payments using one of the payment services provided and can get more information on any of the services we offer.

This document goes through in detail the steps taken to create and manage Companies, Cost Centres and User as well as providing information on some of the other functions in Bulletin Online.

Reseller

Notes:

  • Resellers may only be edited by Reseller admin users, Company and Cost Centre admin users do not have permissions to view Resellers.
  • Resellers cannot be removed once they have been created. They can only be enabled and disabled
  • To set up a reseller contact Bulletin Wireless

The reseller page allows you to check the information we have stored for you and to update some of it as your needs dictate

  • ID: Used to uniquely identify your account
  • Code: Company Code (5 characters maximum)
  • Name: Name of the reseller
  • Support Email: The email address that any queries will be sent through
  • Default Cost Centre: Default cost centre to use for anyone set up under this reseller
  • Default country: Default country to use for anyone set up under this reseller
  • Enabled: enables or disables the reseller account

Company

Notes:

  • Reseller admin users may edit and add companies
  • Company admin users may only edit their own company
  • Cost Centre admin users do not have permissions to view Companies
  • Companies cannot be removed once they have been created. They can only be enabled and disabled
  • Companies must have a reseller set up

The company page allows resellers to add and edit companies and companies to check the information the reseller has stored for them and update some of it as needed.

Creating a Company

The following steps explain how to create a company

  1. Log into Bulletin Online
  2. Type in the URL http://www.bulletinonline.net/signup/signupCompany.do?
  3. Add resellerCode=yourcode to the URL (where yourcode=your reseller code)
  4. Add &verifyMobile=true/false to the URL (where true/false is either true or false)
  5. Add &accountType=INV/PRE to the URL (optional) (Where INV/PRE is either INV or PRE) this will set the account to default at either Invoiced or prepaid
  6. Complete the following fields
    • Company Name: Name of the company to register on Bulletin Online
    • User Name: User name of the company admin user you wish to create
    • Password: password of the company admin user
    • First Name: First name of the company admin user
    • Last Name: Last name of the company admin user
    • Mobile Number: Mobile number of the company admin user
    • Contact Telephone Number: Phone number of the company admin user
    • Email address: Email address of the company admin user
    • Address Line 1: Physical address of the company admin user
    • Address Line 2: Continuation of address line 1, optional
    • City: City the company admin user is based in
    • State: Default to Other, Only for US companies
    • Post or Zip Code: Optional, Zip code or Post Code of city, state or area
    • Country: Country the company admin user is based in
    • Currency: Currency the billing account will be in
    • Time Zone: Time Zone of the are the company admin user is based in
    • Language: Language of the website (Currently only available in English)
    • Company Info: Same as Admin User (will pre populate all fields needed, use if information for the company admin user is the same as that of the company) / Different from Admin User (Will Generate more fields that will need to be filled out, use if the company information is different from the company admin users information)
    • Cost Centre Info: Same as Admin User (will pre populate all fields needed, use if information for the company admin user is the same as that of the cost centre) / Different from Admin User (Will Generate more fields that will need to be filled out, use if the cost centre information is different from the company admin users information)
  7. Enter the 4 character verification code in the text box next to decipher this... (click regenerate if it can't be made out)(THIS CODE IS CASE SENSITIVE)
  8. Click the save button

You will now have a Company, Cost Centre and Company Admin User set up in Bulletin Online. The Company and Cost Centre will be set up to use the default services and subscriptions of the reseller.

Reseller and Company admin users may also edit a company by clicking on the company link in the side had menu then on the company they wish to edit. They then edit the desired fields and click the save button.

Billing Accounts

Notes:

  • Reseller admin users may add and edit Company, Cost Centre and User billing accounts
  • To set up a billing account for a reseller contact Bulletin Wireless
  • Company admin, Cost Centre admin and general users please contact your reseller to edit or set up any additional billing accounts.

Creating Billing Accounts

The following steps explain how to create a billing account

  1. Go to the edit companies page for your company
  2. Click the 'Create Billing Account' link next to the 'Billing Account ID' field
  3. Complete the following fields
    • Account Type: either invoice or prepaid
    • Balance: Current balance will be zero when creating a billing account, read-only
    • Currency: Currency to be paid by, can be $US, $NZ, $AU, Euros or GBP
    • Credit limit: Defaults to zero, sets the credit limit for both invoiced an prepaid companies, if left at default ($0.00) invoiced companies will not be able to use any services and prepaid companies will only able to use services till it reaches zero
    • Enabled: enable or disable the billing account
  4. Click the Save button

Cost Centre

Notes:

  • A default Cost Centre is set up when creating a company using the steps described in this document
  • Reseller and Company admin users may edit and add Cost Centres
  • Cost Centre admin users may only edit their own cost centre
  • Cost Centres cannot be removed once they have been created. They can only be enabled and disabled
  • Cost Centres must have a company set up

The Cost Centre page allows resellers and companies to add and edit Cost Centres and Cost Centres to check the information the reseller/company has stored for them and update some of it as needed.

Creating a cost centre

The following steps explain how to create a Cost Centre

  1. Navigate to 'Cost Centre' on the side menu panel
  2. Click the create button on the bottom right-hand corner
  3. Complete the following fields:
    • Name: Name of the cost centre to register on Bulletin Online
    • Billing Account ID: will only be shown once a Cost Centre and billing account have been created (Not viewable for Cost Centre and Company admin users)
    • Company: select the company the cost centre belongs to (Read Only for Cost Centre and Company admin users)
    • Contact Number: Phone number of the cost centre
    • Enabled: enable/disable the cost centre
    • Address line 1: Physical Address of the cost centre
    • Address line 2: continuation of address line 1
    • City: City the cost centre is based in
    • State: defaults to Other, Only for US Cost Centres
    • Post or Zip Code: optional, Zip code or Post Code of city, state or area
    • Country: Country the cost centre is based in
  4. Click the Save button

Billing Accounts

Notes:

  • Reseller admin users may only edit billing accounts for Cost Centres, Company and Cost Centre admin users do not have permission to view billing accounts for Cost Centres
  • To set up a billing account for a cost centre contact Bulletin Wireless

The following steps explain how to edit a billing account

  1. Go to the edit companies page for your company
  2. Click the 'Edit Billing Account' link next to the 'Billing Account ID' field
  3. Complete the following fields
    • Account Type: either invoice or prepaid
    • Balance: Current balance, read-only
    • Credit limit: Sets the credit limit for both invoiced an prepaid companies
    • Enabled: enable or disable the billing account
  4. Click the save button

User

Notes:

  • A Company admin user will be automatically set up when following the process to create a company outlined in this document
  • Reseller, Company and Cost Centre admin users may edit and add users
  • Reseller admin users may create Reseller, Company and Cost Centre admin users as well as first level users
  • Company admin users may create Company and Cost Centre admin users as well as normal users
  • Cost Centre admin users may create Cost Centre admin users and normal users
  • Users cannot be removed once they have been created. They can only be enabled and disabled
  • Users must have A Company and Cost centre set up.
  • Disabled accounts may only be view by reseller admin accounts

Creating a user

The following steps explain how to create a user

  1. Navigate to 'User' on the side menu panel
  2. Click the create button on the bottom right-hand corner
  3. Complete the following fields:
    • Username (Login ID): Login name and part of the bulletin mail email address
    • Password: Password for the users account
    • First Name: First Name of the user
    • Last Name: Last Name of the user
    • Billing ID: will only be shown once a User and billing account have been created
    • Mobile Number: Mobile number of the user. Must be in International Format with no spaces, letters, brackets or other special characters see the section on International Format for examples (Not Viewable for Cost Centre and Company admin users)
    • Send Verification: True/False Defaults to false, if true it will send an txt to the user asking them to txt back a verification code or enter the verification code when the first login to Bulletin Online (Not available for Cost Centre and Company admin users)
    • Contact Telephone Number: optional, Phone number of user
    • Email Address: Email address of user
    • Company: select the company the user belongs to (Not viewable for Cost Centre admin users)
    • Cost Centre: select the cost centre the user belongs to
    • User level (Role): Select the user Role, This allows users different permissions i.e. for a company admin user use Company admin etc.
    • Account Status: Disabled/ Enabled, user account disabled or enabled
    • Address line 1: Physical Address of the user
    • Address line 2: optional, continuation of address line 1
    • City: City the user is based in
    • State: Defaults to Other, Only for US Users
    • Post or Zip Code: optional, Zip code or Post Code of city, state or area
    • Country: Country the User is based in
    • Time Zone: Time Zone where the User is
    • Language: Language the website will be in (Currently only avaliable in english)
    • First Login: If the user is on their first login, true/false(Read Only for Cost Centre and Company admin users)
  4. Click the Save button

System Notification allows you to view Automated System Notification (Email and SMS) sent by the Bulletin System

Billing Information

The billing Information page allows Company and Cost Centre admin users to view all billing information on a user, company and cost centre this includes who the users billing is being managed by i.e. the reseller , company, cost centre or user. It also allows admin users to view the account type, currency and balance (If the account type is prepaid).

Browser Requirements

The Bulletin Online web site uses Javascript and is designed for 1024/768 screen size.
You may get warnings from your browser as you are redirected to the individual Bulletin services from Bulletin Online.
